Apr\u00e8s une carri\u00e8re dans la vente de motos et de v\u00e9los, il se passionne pour les arts populaires locaux et commence \u00e0 \u00e9tudier la sculpture sur bois en 1982. Il se forme aupr\u00e8s de YAMATANI Kiyo en 1983, obtenant en 1987 l&#8217;autorisation de reproduire les moules de Yamatani Gonsaburo.<br \/>\nSes \u0153uvres, initialement inspir\u00e9es du style de Yamatani, s&#8217;\u00e9tendent \u00e0 la restauration de mod\u00e8les historiques (comme ceux de Saito Kobei ou Yamatani Taibei), tout en int\u00e9grant des cr\u00e9ations modernes avec des coiffures r\u00e9interpr\u00e9t\u00e9es.
